Stephan Argent

A portrait of Stephan Argent.

Stephan Argent is founder and CEO of Listenmore – chief listener, problem solver, negotiator and pitch doctor. With more than 30 years client and agency marketing experience in Canada, United Kingdom, United States and Asia Pacific, he knows a thing or two about marketers and agencies.

Stephan was brought up in Kenya, East Africa and started life as pilot.  Since then, he has worked at some internationally renowned agencies including Lowe in the United Kingdom, BBDO and Taxi in Canada, and Organic in the United States. Stephan went on to become Vice President of Digital Media at Canada’s largest television network, CTV.

In 2010, Stephan founded Listenmore Inc. and has provided marketing advisory, agency search management and marketing transformation guidance to some of Canada’s most iconic brands, including Air Canada, CIBC, Home Depot, Lindt + Sprungli, Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, Tim Hortons, Ontario Lottery + Gaming, Telus, VIA Rail, Walmart, Yum brands and many others.

Stephan is a tsunami survivor and has traveled more than 50 times around the globe which (he says) keeps him grounded!

Esther Benzie

Esther has more than 30 years of client experience in the Banking, CPG and Not-for-Profit industries driving business growth across some of Canada’s biggest brands. After receiving her MBA from Ivey Business School, Esther held a variety of roles over two decades at Procter & Gamble. In 2018, Esther joined CIBC to relaunch the CIBC Brand globally. Most recently she spent 6 months advising the Association of Canadian Advertisers as acting President and CEO.

As a client, Esther has experience across all aspects of Marketing including leading agency searches, transforming marketing organizations, running internal creative and media capabilities, and building new marketing capabilities.  She is known for asking great questions to help untangle tough challenges, and for her passion in helping marketers deliver better marketing.

Arthur Fleischmann
Executive Advisor

For over 30 years, Arthur has brought his sense-making skills, business, team development and vision to some of Canada’s most successful blue-chip clients in retail, package goods, financial services, automotive and healthcare.

Arthur is co-founder and former CEO of john st., one of Canada’s leading creative agencies which is now part of the WPP network. Arthur’s leadership expanded with his promotion to Group CEO, overseeing the operations of john st., Ogilvy, and Ogilvy Health Canada. He later  assumed the additional role of Country Lead for WPP Canada.

At Listenmore,  Arthur draws on his extensive experience leading more than 100 pitches to help clients make informed decisions about their existing and prospective agency partnerships.

Arthur is the father of three grown children, serves on charitable and industry boards, is an active advisor and published author. Carly’s Voice, a best-selling memoir co-written with his severely autistic daughter, has now been published by Simon & Schuster in 8 languages.
